Vinos Pingüinos is a playful yet refined wine curation experience. The brand blends modern charm with vintage sophistication. The design concept was born from a creative collaboration with my friend Ben, who envisioned a modern vintage vibe — something timeless, yet fresh. At the heart of the brand is the charismatic mascot, Penguin Pierre: a classic, tuxedoed gentleman with a bowtie and a touch of playfulness. Pierre brings a sense of warmth and personality, striking the perfect balance between elegance and approachability.
The visual identity leans into a modern retro aesthetic, with a carefully crafted illustrated style that nods to mid-century design while remaining contemporary. The typography features a modern-retro font with soft curves and subtle quirks, complementing the hand-drawn quality of the mascot and label illustrations. The color palette draws from classic mid-century palettes.
Altogether, Vinos Pingüinos feels like discovering a hidden gem on a wine shelf: distinctive, friendly, and just a little bit cheeky—much like Pierre himself.
